Constellation Energy Foundation Grant once again available – Business Ideas, BALTIMORE, Sep 17, 2010. Constellation today publicized it is taking applications for its new E(2): Energy to Educate(SM) Grant program (“E(2) Grants”). Funds will be provided by the Constellation Energy Foundation. Grant awards will be up to $25,000 for projects involving students in grades six through 12 and up to $50,000 for projects at two- and four-year colleges. To qualify for an E(2) Grant, a project should be situated in an area where Constellation Energy does business. Projects should be team-oriented and reach ta least 100 students. Both two- and four-year colleges and universities are qualified. Projects involving students in grades six through 12 must include a minimum of three partners, including at least one that is governed by a board of directors and selected a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. The E(2) Grant program will target demonstration projects that develop energy improvement and build on student awareness and application of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). The projects must support at least one of three focus areas: the basic science and engineering required to address energy challenges; new energy technologies arriving in the marketplace; and the increasing role of information technology in how we efficiently manage and use energy.
